Terms of Service

Last updated: 24 September 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Nuri Care mobile application and website (together, "Nuri" or the "Service"), operated by Nuri Care ("we", "us", or "our"). Please read them carefully. You accept these Terms by ticking the box when you sign up, or by agreeing in the app.

1. Acceptance of these terms

You accept these Terms by ticking the box when you sign up, or by agreeing in the app. Please also read our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we email you before we ask you in the app whether you agree or decline. Nothing new applies to you until you agree. If you decline, you can export your data and delete your account. We also post the revised Terms here with an updated "Last updated" date.

2. Who can use Nuri

You must be at least 18 years old to create a Nuri account, and you confirm this when you sign up. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we delete it.

Family members helping the person they look after: You may use Nuri to help manage care for another person (such as a parent or grandparent) by connecting to that person's own account. That person holds their own account, agrees to the connection themselves, and makes their own privacy choices. You may help them set up their phone, but you may not accept these Terms or give any consent on their behalf, and Nuri has no route for a guardian or relative to consent for another adult. By agreeing, the account holder confirms that they can understand and make these choices themselves, and Nuri relies on that confirmation. Nuri is a care-coordination tool, not a covert monitoring platform.

3. The Service

Nuri is a personal care-coordination application designed to help older adults manage their medications, appointments, wellbeing, and health providers, and to keep trusted family members appropriately informed.

Nuri is a released product, available on the App Store for iPhone in the App Store storefronts where it is listed. There is no Android version. Features evolve: some capabilities are rolling out gradually, and some are available only on a paid plan. We reserve the right to add, modify, or discontinue any feature at any time. Where a feature is not yet live we label it clearly.

We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Nuri for your own care-coordination purposes in accordance with these Terms.

4. Your account & responsibilities

  • Accurate information. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering and to keep it up to date. Providing false information (including a false age or identity) may result in account suspension.
  • Keep credentials safe. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at nuricare.co@gmail.com if you suspect any unauthorised access.
  • One account per person. Accounts are personal and may not be shared with or transferred to others.
  • Device security. You are responsible for securing the device(s) on which Nuri is installed, including enabling screen locks where appropriate.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Nuri for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
  • Use Nuri to monitor or surveil any person without their explicit, informed consent, including the person you look after or any other individual.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service, other user accounts, or our backend systems.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract source code from the application.
  • Introduce malware, spam, or any other harmful code or content.
  • Use automated scripts or bots to access the Service.
  • Resell, sublicence, or commercially exploit the Service without our prior written consent.

Nuri is a care tool. The person you look after always retains the right to withdraw consent and request disconnection from any family member's account. We will honour reasonable disconnection requests promptly.

6. Medical disclaimer

Nuri is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice.

Nuri is a personal care-coordination and reminder tool. It is not a registered medical device, does not diagnose or treat any medical condition, and does not constitute medical, clinical, or pharmaceutical advice of any kind.

Medication reminders and drug-interaction checks in Nuri are helpful aids intended to support, not replace, the guidance of a qualified doctor, pharmacist, or other healthcare professional. Always consult a qualified professional before making any decision about medications or treatment.

In a medical emergency, call your local emergency services immediately (e.g. 995 in Singapore, 999 in the UK, 911 in the US). Do not rely on Nuri in an emergency.

7. Subscriptions & payments

Nuri has a free plan and paid subscription plans, including Nuri Plus. What each plan includes, and the current price where you live, are shown on the plans screen inside the app and on our App Store listing before you buy. We do not publish prices on this page, because the App Store sets them separately for each country.

Auto-renewing subscriptions. Paid plans are auto-renewing subscriptions sold through Apple's App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase. Your subscription then renews automatically for the same period, at the price shown to you, unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Apple charges each renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period.

Managing and cancelling. You manage and cancel your subscription in your Apple ID subscription settings on your device, not inside Nuri. We cannot cancel a subscription for you. On an iPhone: open Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, choose Nuri, and turn off auto-renew. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not end the period you have already paid for. When that period ends, your account moves to the free plan.

Free introductory periods. Where a free introductory period is offered, it is granted by Apple, and its length and who is eligible for it are determined by Apple's rules rather than by us. If you buy a subscription while a free period is still running, you give up whatever free time is left.

Refunds and price changes. Purchases are made from Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple under its own policy. If you want a refund, request it from Apple. We can help with account and billing questions at nuricare.co@gmail.com, but we cannot issue App Store refunds ourselves. If a subscription price changes, Apple will tell you before it takes effect and, where its rules require, ask you to agree before the next renewal.

8. Intellectual property

The Nuri application, website, brand (including the name "Nuri", the Nuri mark, and all associated visual identity), and all underlying software, designs, and content created by us are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Your content. You retain ownership of any personal information, health records, notes, and other content you upload to Nuri ("User Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display your User Content solely as necessary to provide the Service to you. We do not claim ownership of your data.

You may not use the Nuri name, logo, or brand without our prior written permission.

9. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

Service provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Nuri is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including, but not limited to, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. Like any software, Nuri may contain bugs or experience downtime without notice. We fix problems as quickly as we reasonably can.

Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we and the people who operate Nuri on our behalf will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to exclude or limit. Nothing in these Terms takes away rights you have under the consumer-protection laws of the country where you live.

10. Termination

By you. You may stop using Nuri and delete your account at any time from within the app. Upon deletion, your personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

By us. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or if required to do so by law. We will endeavour to give you reasonable notice and an opportunity to export your data before permanent account deletion wherever practical.

Sections 6, 8, 9, 11, and 12 of these Terms survive termination.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence give you additional rights that cannot be contractually excluded.

12. Changes to these terms & contact

We may revise these Terms. For a material change, we follow the process in Section 1: we email you before we ask you in the app whether you agree, and nothing new applies to you until you agree. The current version of the Terms is always available at nuricare.co/terms.
